Questions

What does Petrichor Plains candle smell like?

The Petrichor Plains candle carries the same scent as the parfum. The top notes are rain and iris. The middle notes are violet, rosemary, and cardamom. The base notes are amyris and Australian sandalwood.

In a room, it smells like the moment a thunderstorm breaks over dry ground. Wood and earth, asphalt and ash, awoken and aerated by rain. A candle that brings the relief of weather indoors.

How long does the Petrichor Plains candle burn?

The Petrichor Plains candle has a burn time of approximately 60 hours when burned correctly. Trim the wick to 5mm before each light. Burn for two to three hours at a time to allow the wax to melt evenly to the edges of the vessel.

Hand poured in Melbourne in small batches.

What is the Petrichor Plains candle made from?

The Petrichor Plains candle is made from 100% natural soy wax, sourced for clean, slow burning. No paraffin. No synthetic accelerants. The fragrance load is high to allow the scent to fill a room without burning hot.

Vegan and cruelty free. Hand poured in Melbourne.

Is the Petrichor Plains candle the same scent as the parfum?

Yes. The Petrichor Plains candle uses the same fragrance composition as the Petrichor Plains parfum. Rain, iris, violet, rosemary, cardamom, amyris, and Australian sandalwood.

The candle is designed to scent a room. The parfum is designed to be worn on skin. Together they create an immersive experience of the same memory.

What inspired Petrichor Plains?

Petrichor Plains was inspired by the arrival of rain after a long, hot, dry day. Both founders grew up in the Australian countryside and vividly recall the moment a thunderstorm finally breaks. The earth exhales, the air fills with something ancient and alive.

It belongs to Series Two, dedicated to the rare and natural phenomena of the Australian landscape.
